My family history touches the great state of Texas in the middle of Wise County. Being an amateur genealogist and living in Tennessee makes it extremely difficult to be able to go to distant courthouses, learn their nuances in getting court records, and then having the time to sit down and go through and determine what records I need for my family research.

Last year I stumbled across Ms. Patti by accident but I’m glad I did. She was very up front, told me exactly what research she will do, and exactly how she will invoice her services.

What I expected was simply an envelope to arrive with copies of court records that I could go through. What I received was not only the records, but records organized and annotated along with a summary of what I had in a clear, concise, well prepared document.

I have much more poking around the Wise County area to do. Using Ms. Patti’s research services has a higher Return on Investment than me spending time and money traveling, lodging, and then working my way through the county clerk’s offices.

I would highly recommend Patti Gillespie to anyone who is looking for a hand in finding out more about their family history.

Patti Gillespie accepted the challenge to research my Swedish ancestor who had a very common name and inconsistently defined birth and death dates. The goal I presented to Patti was to confirm birth and death dates so further research could be done. The time he lived in Wise County, TX was documented previously.

Patti researched naturalization records, land records and census records. She was thorough researching fertile areas, some of which produced results, some did not – which were results in itself. She provided me copies of the documents researched.

Though Patti was unable to uncover the information I was seeking, she was thorough in her work. The reports she provided were most helpful. Patti is a knowledgeable and thorough genealogical researcher.

Patti Gilllespie researched and made a wonderful and very informative family genealogy book for my husband’s family and my family also. She has pictures of our relatives as well as birth places and names and pictures of the resting places. She found a wonderful story about my Civil War relatives, events I had never even heard of through my family. The books were bound in a beautiful folder with our family names in gold on the outside. I would definitely recommend Patti Gillespie for your family research.
